Jump Rope for Heart

A big thank-you and congratulations to all the students and families who collected money for Jump Rope for Heart. This year, we raised an official whopping total of $9,946.65. We set an initial fundraising goal of $7,000.00 and the donations received from the Bannatyne community far exceeded that amount. At one point in mid-April, we were the top fundraising school online in ALL of Manitoba. Over the years, the École Bannatyne community has donated approximately $68,800 to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and we would like to send a sincere thank-you to all of the École Bannatyne families and friends, past and present, that have participated in the Jump Rope for Heart program. A special thank you also to the Blacher family for sharing their personal story with the Bannatyne students. It was a great reminder for all of us as to why we do fundraising such as Jump Rope for Heart.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated and we couldn’t have done this without you! We are so very proud of our wonderful community. Merci à ceux qui ont participé, vous êtes merveilleux!

2015-2016

Envelopes are being sent home before Spring Break to participating families.

Please consider online donations as they simplify the donation process for all involved and sponsors donating online receive an automatic tax receipt. Instructions are on the envelope and you can find more information at www.jumpropeforheart.ca. Students are asked to collect their pledges in the envelope provided. For safety reasons, we suggest students do not go door-to-doorCollection envelopes and all pledges must be returned to the school by Friday, April 15th, 2016. There is no guarantee that students will receive their thank-you prizes in time if envelopes are returned past the due date. Please seal the envelope before returning it to the school. Please return the collection envelope, even if no pledges are received. Cheques, rather than bills and loose change, would be appreciated and MUST be made out to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Once the pledges are received from all students, we will place the order for your prizes. From the date the order is placed, it takes approximately 6-8 weeks to receive the prizes.

Thank you so much for your support! Heart&Stroke Jump Rope for Heart benefits us all – your child gets active and learns to be heart healthy, our school can earn valuable resources, and we all help to support vital heart disease and stroke research and health education – for the future of our children! If you have any comments or questions, please email Mme Beaudin (nbeaudin@sjsd.net) for more information or visit www.jumpropeforheart.ca.
